It all started 25 years ago with a 1950 Starcraft, then came the 1941 Cris Craft, then the pair of 1956 Scot Attwaters.........now a 1960 P14 I just picked up. Hope it floats!! I think I need a 12-step program for boats!

Any suggestions for a windshield would be helpful.

    Like your handle.

Sorryhoney, but you came to the wrong place for a cure. Just ask Chuck (Skagitguy). He has been down that path more times than I can count. He gets to about step two, then drags another one home.

Welcome to the group. Post some pictures when you have time.

      Welcome to the group.

Yes, we have or had a 12 step program but I always got it confused.

Its NMB for No More Boats but me, I always fail and it becomes Need More Boats.

I just let a P-14 go and have several others about to be set to the Free or damn close to it.

      Enjoy

Steve, I think i have seen the light ...really. I have past the 12 step program months ago ( Sheila is so proud of me ) and have only the two Skagits the 20 "Bainbridge" / Skagit 18 "Chippewa" ....oh wait a minute...OMG ! Now that i think about it,i just remember i still have the Dorsett Saratoga all cover up ( could not send it to the junk yard in the sky ) behind the fence in case i get the itch. Since 2003 i have dragged home about 18 boats and a bunch before that going back to 1960. Some i fixed up and some i just flipped. But those days are ALL over. After kneeling down to paint a hull now a days it is getting harder to stand up straight again.....Hummmm ! NMB ! ....Chuck

Chuck is just in remission is all

Chuck knows the feeling of accomplishment. There is nothing like standing back and talking a look at all you did to bring one of these old girls back.

I will state it again as most anyone that has done any restoration knows. It takes at least two Bayliners to make one of the early 50's boats.
It takes Three Bayliners to make one Fiberform.

These old girls are safer, built so much better than this new crap its not funny.
