    This was not the week to work in the shop. Mon & Tue it was to hot by Noon. Today I made it to 3 PM. The helm is installed and wired. Thanks for the help. Should have the engine running this weekend.

    Looks great...

    Looks great...gives me some more ideas for mine

    Did you replace the bulkhead with solid wood? Looks like 4x flooring...looks good

        Bulkhead wood

        I have several hundred feet of 1/4" Mahogony wood from the '60s. I glued it up to to a 4 X 8 sheet to make the bulkhead. The is made from some off the wood from the old helm and new.

          Nice stash to have... unfortunately my stash is mostly curly maple and curly cherry...not exactly boat wood
