  • The New Fuel Tanks

I removed the port side tank last night, it took about 15 minutes. The port tank was not secured in any way, it was just sitting there. In the attached photos you will see the brackets where it was supposed to be attached which were never used. It stayed there for 50 years, not bad! The new tank next to it has some pretty stout brackets and they will be used. The area where I removed the tank from shows green paint?? Could it be the inside of my boat came from the factory pink on the outside and forest green on the interior? The new tank has some real nice welds which should last for about 100 years or so. I plan on hooking up the new tank today and hopefully filling both tanks so I can play.
