    I had the good fortune to get the full tour of PT658 with my youngest son Jubal in November 2004, down on the Columbia.

    I have a number of photographs to share as well as a lot of photos and history of the Packard engines that powered the Patrol-Torpedo boats.

    PT658 was built by Higgins, called a Higgins 78. A better built, greater dead rise, softer riding, heavier and stronger than the Elco 80's.

    A wonderful piece of history....thanks for posting!
