    1955 Axtell River Racing Runabout w/ Mercury 35hp 13'

Built by Axtell Brothers in Longview Washington as a river racing runabout. One of the fastest in the Columbia river races of that era. Deck refinished by retired Tollycraft craftsman. Boat is in excellent overall condition. Motor is 1960 Mercury 300 Thunderbolt with electric start (35 hp). Freshwater engine from Salem was restored by Thom Adams of Shelton Washington three years ago and only used at Mason Lake at a club outing. Steering and controls were moved from rear racing cockpit to front seat when engine was restored. Beautiful vintage boat that corners effortless due to original aluminum racing fin. Original trailer in good condition. Washington release of interest documents for boat and trailer. Located in Scappoose, Oregon 20 minutes from I-5 in downtown Portland. $2,800 cash.

Great !! Glad it worked out :GoodJob:

Boy, Its been Way too long since I have been on Hwy 30 and just dinging around.
I have never made that loop or been in the Multnomah Channel. Have you ??
Its something I am hoping to do some time. Not sure of the speed limit and how far it from one end to the other. Looks like a full days run.:boater1:

          Axtell is officially sold

Only two days to selling both the Axtell and the prior two days to sell the EZ loader. The Norse gods must be on my side since Marty assured the buyer it was a great boat and Joe helped him figure out the website. Assistance was greatly appreciated.

Dave plans to take the Axtell to the Sandy Ace outing in July on Hoods Canal.
