      Those are good photos and helpful, thanks Dick. Do you use anything to attach the gaskets to the surfaces? Like Permatex.

        I never use a sealant on cork gaskets. The valve cover gasket I'll seal on one side and then use a thin coat of Yamabond or equivalent.

          I've not herd of Yamabond, I'll have to look into that product.
