    If you're referring to the side panel, that looks like an owner installed piece. The wood in that side panel appears to be 1/4 mahogany, Skagit would have used doug fir marine grade. Skagit custom built each 20 footer, adding things like stoves, cabinets to a customer's specs, in 56-58 models, mostly. We've seen a few that were altered such as the one in your pic after it left the factory. Very few if any appear to be custom after 1958, as they were trying to control costs. The vertical bulkhead to the left in the pic was 3/8s or 1/2 doug fir marine grade.
    Is the floor in that boat OK ?

      thanks for the wood info,,,, the floors are soft in some places too ,,,,, so would they have used 3/8s or 1/2in on the walls and rear bulkhead
