Most people can get those images from our posts as we don't have a water mark program to protect them.
I think his ad is kind of screwy if you ask me. If no one knows what a Tyee looks like they might have a problem as the only one he has on there is Bill Roberts Tyee.

It freaked me out when I first saw it. The reality is nearly all of our pictures not on a closed thread (mbrs only) can show up on a search engine like google. It's the world as we now know it.

The boat was for sale for a long time. I figured someone is trying to flip it. That's the second ad like that he has placed for it. It is a blue and white open with a 70 triple on it. Its a Skagit.

Have any of you flagged that ad? You should. Surprised to see Bruce's boat in the ad.
If you don't flag it I will.....

At it again ! Has several inaccuracies in the ad. Does mention the boat in pic is not the one for sale.....doesn't have the nerve to post a single pic of boat for sale !

I think I just flagged it.

              Good, so did I.
Very deceptive ad. Not even a Tyee.

Perhaps someone with proper knowledge should send a reply with a link to some resources that might help educate this seller? Maybe offer to help properly identify their boat from real photos?

I did when it was first posted. I didn't get much of a reply. In fact the seller just made it more confusing so I left it at that.

In one case, as Brian suggests, a gentle nudging can influence a seller. I recently made a comment to a seller on CL that his Bell Boy was in fact a 1957 17' Skagit convertible. He had an inboard and Bell Boy in that era with that size craft didn't make inboards, whereas Skagit did, as well as other details his boat had that were definitely Skagit. Pointed him to archives at another boat website to confirm ID. Within 5 hours the poster changed his description of the boat.
The seller of the boat we're discussing in this thread is taking some "artistic license" with his "prose" and pictures, is probably getting frustrated getting it sold since it's been for sale for so long, I'd guess he doesn't respond to changing with the flagging and all. 00o0o_lhlCOT3nbop_600x450.jpg Pic of 1957 17 convert !
