Been a while needing a couple parts to finish up a friends boat

We put a 1966 Johnson 40hp on now I need to find a block clamp or if anyone has any clever ideas to affix the steering rod to the transom it's a hewescraft aluminum 18.5.
Thanks again for any tips and advice

I had one at one point and now for the life of me I can't find it. There between 80 bucks and up for one gonna try and reuse the old steering tube off the old rude maybe weld a few tabs to fasten it somehow or was hoping someone might have an extra used one or something for lil less either way will figure something out
