  • Nice working conditions-"Linmar 78`"

Was wrenching on a tender in Ballard and a boat owner asked me to look over his tender.....on top of a 1930 ,78`Classic I had no idea of the history.
Google "Linmar" and check out some of the stories and pictures from it`s heyday to when it burned within 5 INCHES of the waterline.
One pic showed it being towed under the Golden Gate with a plywood patch on it.Value was at $2.5 million.
A recent picture shows it as it now looks, gleeming all the way around.
No ,I won`t being running the 60 hp 2 stroke while it`s on top!
Sure beats working at a dealership........

      Linmar

The hull sold for $35,000 after the recent Fire.
I`ve been drooling it`s direction the past 2 months as I watched them Re-Varnish the sides and Trim.
It`s like the Pappa version af a Rumrunner, but on steroids at 78`.
Seats 8-12 in the rear Sunroom.
Honey ,look what I bought today.......
