Yes you are right.
I was so engrossed in the work I was doing I forgot about photos.
Next step is installing the distributor and set timing. I'll try to take photos of my progress.
I got the cam cover on now. and fuel pump reinstalled with the fuel lines all hooked up.

Well, for the most part, I too forget to take progress pictures, after I am almost done.
Going to have mine at Mason this weekend, which I hope will become on of our largest events for attendance.

Got the Homelite running and installed back on the pontoon. Sorry I didn't get any progress photos. I'll try to get some action shots of it in operation.
Didn't have any spark, but found the problem. So far so good.

I hope you have better luck this time around! Interesting front access on the hood, easy to get to the carbs for adjustment. I just got done stripping my cracked block of all it's salvageable items. Now I've got an exhaust valve for the #3 engine.

Yea,
That's they way I got it. The past owner did a nice job on that access door.
My Homelite isn't totally original. But close.
When reasembling the motor I noticed the spring clips on the distributor were sprung a little and didn't hold the cap down tight. I repositioned them and now they are tight, holding the cap down firmly. I checked the inside of the distrbutor today after several hours of operation. No irregular wear on the contacts in the cap. Looks good. No little brass shavings either.
Do you no anybody that has an Owners/Operator manual? I could use a copy of one. I have the repair manual.
