Hi,

Can anyone point me to a source that describes the saga of the Suzuki-Johnson rebadging?

When did it start; what models are effected, etc.

Chuck,
I know the late 90`s 50-70hp 4 strokes were built by Suzuki and then some badged as the Johnson.All it takes to tell is to pull up specs such as weight and gear ratios and you`ll see the motors are basically "Families" of a block type with an evolution of carb and fuel delivery.Then painted to match the end sellers name.
They save $ not having to R+D every size they offer and sharing that cost makes sense for survival in the real world.Sounded good at the meeting anyways....
Wasn`t sure what size HP or year you were referring too and figured another would have asked or clarified by now.....
