Well I was able to get my new/old the 20 skagit out of its 5 year hibernation in a Tacoma marina storage garage. First spent last week refurbing the trailer that was in pieces behind the old owners house. A nicer day would have made it easier, had to launch the boat by elevater into the water then paddle and use a trolling motor to get it over to the boat ramp and on the trailer. The wind kept wanting to send the boat back and in spins. Well it is on the trailer and towed great. Now to service the engine, fuel tanks and systems from sitting for 5 years. Hope to have it out on the water soon.:)

Nice looking Skagit. I see the trailer takes up less room in "kit" form.:D

Nice looking boat, Steve! Congratulations! :D What's the interior look like? Just needs a cleanup, or major work?

First time I've seen a "trailer kit", though. Was the previous owner going to rebuild it and just got distracted? Looks like you got it together just fine. :)

The trailer was not needed as he kept the boat in dry storage and on a dolly. Just rolled it about 100 feet to the launching elevator. He unbolted the trailer to save space in the alley. The interior is in good shape, looks like it was "fixed" up about 12 years ago. Has alot of burgandy carpet every were. Very solid floors and transom. Very nice late model 115 outboard with power trim, and tilt.

Hey Steve,
Glad you made it home ok.Chuck Bauer and I were plotting on how to buy that boat as well as some others that very same day as it was worth the asking price for just that newer motor.
Now you have a great story to tell about how you earned it on the recovery.
We`ll have the 2 stroke freshened up next week and see if we can maybe swap some Maroon for some grey.
See you soon,
Tim M :D green with envy.....but also glad it`s in the family.
