You'll figure it out right away, I bet.
By the way, everybody, the "Junior Member" designation will go away as soon as we figure out how to get rid of it, or change it to "Member," or something else.

The "Junior Member" designation should change after a set number of postings , like 10, 15, or 25.
Now if we could just get an improvement in the weather, life would be heavenly. :)

WOW! This is gonna be fun! I think we owe some people big time for all the time and effort put into getting this site up and running so soon. I'm going to have to actually learn more about this site and take advantage of some of its features.
Also, as far as the junior member thing goes it's ok with me. Anything that suggests I might be younger is a good thing.:D
Looking forward to actually getting a boat in the water this year and meeting everyone in person. 09 is looking awesome so far. Barry

The new message board looks great. I tried to post a picture for my profile but it refused to load. Not sure what to do.

Dennis -
Try reducing the size of the image. As with other forums, there's an upper limit on file size and it'll reject images that are too large. (Sorry, I don't yet know exactly what the max. size is, but earlier this evening I tried to load a massive file and it was rejected. When I reduced it down to a few hundred KB, it loaded instantly. If you're dealing in pixel dimensions, try reducing the photo to 600 pixels wide, by whatever height, and it'll go through quickly.)

Hello good boat peoples. I just learned the new forum was up and running so thought I would register and introduce myself.
George Calkins handed the throttle of Bartender Boats over to me about five years ago. My wife Sandy and I have been enjoying the adventure thoroughly. More new Bartenders are being launched every year and the Bartender group is growing. We've had some great gatherings and cruises and look forward to possibly meeting up with some of yunz in the future.
Best of success to the NWCBC and this forum.

Hi Bill. I've been following your Bartender website off an on for some time now. Especially when Dave in Astoria was building his stretched Bartender. I have loved those boats for many years. Glad someone of your caliber is keeping them alive and well. Hope to see you on the water one of these days.

Hello All,
I just printed my registration form. Your website says you welcome all classics. Even us bigger wooden cruisers--or you worried we'll take up too much dock space? ;)
I hope so, as this seems like a very "un-stuffy" club, which may take me some getting used to. :D

Wow, nice cruiser! Hope I have a chance to see it up close someday. And you're right, this is an "un-stuffy" group. :)
Tim
Cruisers?!... You bet! You will find that most here have smaller "pocket" cruisers, but the big ones are more than welcome. I think more than anything, the history and stories of these boats are what bring us together without regard to make, size, material, or location. Besides, with future explorations planned to locations like Desolation Sound and Alaska (see the event calander) we will need lots of "support ships". I hope that you will take the time to start a thread and tell us all the story of Friendship II.

Welcome Friendship II. Now we have a mother ship for our Puget Sound outings. ;) All joking aside, I think we all like just about any kind of boat. Look forward to seeing you on the water someday.

Sorry I took so long to answer Joe. i don't have any pictures of the lake this year, I've been leaving for work in the dark and getting home after dark so I can't see much.
The dock was two feet under water at the high point, water was over the first bulkhead, but thankfully we didn't have any wind this time. I hate rebuilding that wall every spring.
Today the dock is starting to break water, maybe still a half inch under water. The slough is way up obviously, hopefull it will stay like this till the end of February.
It won't take much rain to keep the level up now that it is high.
This picture is from 2006 but it looks the same every time it's up.:D
