  • 1959 Dorsett Catalina

    My 1959 dorsett catalina arrived last sunday. I found her in Utah, was bought brand new 7/18/59 by the previous owners uncle, came with alot of original paper work.Has a mark 55AE with it . Had a chance to do some bonding today as i washed , degreased it an just gave it some love'n. I will starrt a redo this fall as i want to get h[ATTACH]15514[/ATTACH] [ATTACH]15515[/ATTACH] [ATTACH]15516[/ATTACH] [ATTACH]15517[/ATTACH] er on the water an enjoy her for awhile

    Congratulations!!! That is a NICE looking boat! Hopefully the structural elements are still as nice as the exterior! I have always liked that model but with a recent baby don't have the time available to so a full restore on any of the ones available in the northwest...

        Nice looking boat for sure. I have one that I need to do everything too, just trying to get to that place were I can do it some day soon.
        I also see another boat covered in the back. Kind of looks like a Dorsett hull too ??

          Yes its a 1960 dorsett belmont i found in a farmers field, that said take me home with you, so i did ,needs a redo also. the catalina is in good shape, just need a redo, the cabin is original, even has the curtain rods,but will get redone, needs new paint , but so far the floor and transom seem fine, but will dig a little deeper as i've only had her for a week. will post pictures as i go thanks
