First, a few shots of the nice Endura-Craft, freshly restored by member Lowell Lorenz. The Endura-Crafts, which predecessors to the Dorsett family of classics, are pretty rare and just define "classic glass" with their unique look.
More photos when I finished uploading and sizing them...

After failing to finish the Slough Run on three consecutive tries, the always-enthusiastic Brian Flaherty team triumphed this year, making it not only to Kenmore...but all the way to Coulon Park.
Here they are at Lake Sammamish, thrashing through branches during the Willow Run, and at the Kenmore rest stop.

Tom Horn or Portland brought his buddy Frank Robinson, once again running Tom's beautiful jet-driven 16-foot mahogany speedster...and once again demonstrating near-perfect control in the difficult Willow Run section.
Water levels in the Slough were lower this year, causing more groundings, but Tom apparently didn't pick up rocks in his impeller.
Here are shots of Tom and Frank at Lake Sammamish, plummeting through the Willow Run, and at Kenmore.

Navy Seals Gone Gonzo--that's Greg and Jeff, complete with wetsuits, cigars and shocking consistency at actually finishing the Slough Run...which having way too much fun in the process.
Here are the boys at the launch area, shooting through the Willow Run rapids, and near the rest stop at Kenmore.

I've always been amazed that Tom Horn risks damage to his beautiful mahogany runabout by repeatedly doing the Slough Run...and it was pretty surprising, by the same token, that Brian Franchini and son Cole would scratch up their gorgeous little PlayMaster by doing the Slough.
But that's what they're for--to be used and enjoyed--so Brian and Cole had a great day, despite scratches here and there. (I'll bet Brian's working with rubbing compound as we speak...)

Custom-painted with a hilarious Band-Aid over its damaged starboard bow, Barry Bates' free Bayliner jet boat (not quite free by the time he got to Lake Sammamish), sucked up a few rocks in its impeller but managed to make it to Kenmore, where their day ended.
This seemed like an ideal Slough Run boat--cheap, already damaged and with a shallow-draft jet drive.

Member John Nelson doubled everyone else's Slough Run by starting at Coulon Park on Friday with a tiny aluminum skiff, and motoring all the way up Lake Washington and the Slough. We don't know how he got the boat into Lake Sammamish--certainly not by navigating upstream through the Willow Run--but however he did it, he met Slough Runners in Lake Sammamish yesterday morning and went back down with them...continuing the length of Lake Washington into the night yesterday with his slow and small craft.
Iron Man John!

We already showed photos of Lowell Lorenz and his just-restored Endura-Craft, so here are shots of the rest of the Lake Washington fleet, including Chuck Carey with guest Tim Mattson; Steve Kiesel with his red-and-white Seafair Sedan; Kent and Diane Hodges with their (also red-and-white) Westerner, Gordon and Cheryl Davies with their Glasspar convertible, and Greg (Mad Dog) James with his trusty Skagit 17 express.
Altogether great weather for a Slough Run event, with calm waters everywhere and relatively warm afternon temperatures.
(This is the last time I'll sell a Slough Run boat two weeks before the event, and miss out! It's a lot more fun running a boat down the Slough than trying to follow them in a truck!)

I hit the limit on the number allowed photos in the above posting, so here's a shot of Steve Kiesel with his Seafair Sedan, taken from the bridge at Kenmore.
Great day...

I will go see what it takes to change that limit.
Found it.
It was at 5 per post, I changed it to 20 per post.
Now to look for the Over All limits for the Thread to increase that.
