Hit the start buttons on the 31 Saratogan last night for the first time. Didn't let the engines start, but was great to hear them crank.
Yesterday's (sunday) session at the shop, both oil pressure guages reading 25psi with the engines stopped. Must be wrong senders? Discovered fuel in the bilge. Not a lot, but any is discouraging considering how much effort went into repairing the original fiberglass side tanks. Have yet to discover the source.

The fuel in the bilge was from a leak in the fuel container I poured from. The instrument problem was a missing ground.

Hi Joe,
Going to be a few days, maybe week before the website is up. Yes on the links.
Booked Dave Calhoun today to provide live music for the launch.
I posted a bunch of pics in my album, my profile today. No particular order. From the last 20 years or more.....
Need to get the boat surveyed and insured. Lots to do in the next few months.
Thanks for your continued interest.
Tim
Tim,
How neat it is that such a magnificent ship is so close to her rebirth! We are excited to see her cruising the waters of Puget sound. Those few little things left to fix only add to an already amazing story. We have made this one of our " must attend " events this year. Good luck and we'll hope to see you soon!

Hey Tim,
I will be there in the Storebro, to escort the 31, on her grand launch.
Hope to have LaConner folk on board. Don & Sharon Lee and any
other who want to witness this historic event.
Should be a fun day.

Good to hear from you all!
The fuel in the bilge turned out to be a leak in the container I poured from. Now have fuel in three of four tanks. So far so good.
I have been scanning pictures all day for my website. Not sure when it will be up....sort of gathering materials at the moment.
Overwhelmed by my lose ends list. Not to mention the big stuff left to do.
Worked until midnight last night. Don't sleep well after a marathon day like that.
More in a bit....CD just popped out of the drive.

Hi Tim.
Keep us posted on things.
Sounds interesting to say the least.:o
I guess I need to get back on my 20 Skagit.
About all I need it to finish putting the rebuilt head back on it, go through the pumps one more time just to make sure I don't try to melt her down again.
