New to this site. I've got a 1968 Crestliner Del Rio that I'm fixing up. My goal is a Dorsett Catalina. Perhaps, one day.......

That sure looks like a user to me, quite nice looking in fact.
Looking at the engine, she might not be the best on fuel consumption is all.

The engine came with the boat and you're correct, sucks fuel like crazy. It seems that a lot of folks just feel the bigger the motor the better. But, I've got a 1959 50hp Evinrude that I'm restoring to replace the 115. I've got the lower unit ready. Need to make new plug wires, clean the carb, probably replace the points and paint it. If I get another couple of projects done, I might get it done before the season ends.
It's a good boat, I like it. As far as the name, I just like how it "sings". lol

yes on the engine. I have an 85hp and just horsing around jumping wakes with the Skimaster 16 of mine, it drank 18 gallons in a half of a day.
Now I don't jump wakes and use my little 55 Bearcat engine that just sips fuel. Pretty cool

Sounds like your projects are doable and that little 50 should push you along just fine.

Got any pictures of that ?
