Worried about your fiberglass tanks and the new ethanol fuels?
I have "saved" several fiberglass tanks by using Vinyl Ester Resin

here is one of their engineers quote:
"The Vinyl-Ester is the correct resin for fuel tank applications however, the bonding surface has to be scuff sanded and cleaned with Acetone to promote a solid bond to the existing tank. I hope this is helpful.

How to do it:
1. Remove tank
2. Drain tank
3. Put some Dawn dish washing soap into tank, add about 2 gallons of water and slosh around real good.
4. Drain and rinse
5. Cut top off of tank about 3-4 inches down from top
6. Scrub inside of tank with dawn soap and rinse real good
7. Let dry totally
8. Sand inside with 80 grit sandpaper
9. Wipe down insides with acetone (WEAR GLOVES!) let dry and repeat
10. Lay a piece of tape down over the fuel sight line on the inside
11. Coat entire insides with the resin (DO 2 COATS)
12. remove tape, coat taped over spot once (otherwise you will not be able to see the fuel level anymore)
13. Replace top and glass the two halves together
14. Fuel tank ready for methanol added fuel and you have saved a TON of money by not having to replace with steel or aluminum tanks.
