Yesterday i painted the console, degrease the engine and will painted it today, also painted the stern drive and filled some holes where the seats use to attached. Today will do a little more painting in the cockpit area like the battery compartment and a few other things. I really can't wait to start the carpet part as that is when i will feel like i'am getting somewhere !

Nice work. Amazing what a little paint will do...

Also, love your wheel. Just like mine! Except yours still has the cool star decals in the inset. Mine were too far gone to save so I had to just paint the long ovals over.

John, I really don't like to paint something in it's place as i would rather take it out , but the last thing i wanted to do is disconnect the steering and all of the wires. Being i will be carpeting the wall no problem.Right now i 'am waiting for the paint to dry in the battery compartment. So tomorrow i will start the carpeting.

Agreed. Mine was from another boat and needed to be restored anyway.

I need to do the same paint on my battery compartment and bilge. It was all kind of wet after the hose down though, so I'll probably tackle it next week.

50 years! Dang! That's great, Chuck! The wife and I will be celebrating our 16th in August. A mere drop in the bucket compared to all your hard work!

John, Hang in there as it goes by fast ! Hard work ? As long as i could do my boat thing no problem. When i met Sheila in 61 the first thing we did was go out in Feb in my Dorsett with my wet suit water skiing. That should have told her what the future held...lol
