  • Score, 1959 Skagit Sportster

This was one of my boats from a long time ago and it stayed behind in Quilcene, But, I made arrangements to get it back again. So, she is coming home and Perfect for the lakes down here.around Eugene and the coast lakes.
All it needed when I got it was the steering and some minor work to get her back in the water. I even still have the title to this boat. I even have the bows for the top. I have a 40hp Johnson that will go on it which should make it just about as fast as I want to go in it. Nice thing about having a bigger motor than you need, you don't have to run the crap out of it so no need for WOT.

Once I am rolling back towards home I will call to see if you are around as that trip for me is about a 6 hour run.
I would like to stop in and see your progress on your 20 as well.

Yes, it still has Holsclaw trailer but its broken right past the axle and hanging down. The only thing that holds it up off the ground is the rear straps to the boat ;-( Funny thing about that trailer and boat, the trailer has Chuck Carrys name on the title and the boat came from Clint Strobe that used to handle the LaConnor event.

Here's a side by side of the Sportster and Skimaster. My Skimaster is a '58 but the only difference between a 58 and 59 is the gelcoat stripe.

So, that makes how many Skagits you own now?.

In my group, I have now the 59 Sportster 14 (again), 59 Skimaster 16, 59 Offshore 20. Others are the 59 Bell Boy 16, Dorsett Catalina 17, 58 Uniflite 17, then a few tender boats.
I am thinking this is too much and the first one to start on will be my 59 Skagit Offshore to get her back in the water. Oh, and the 58 Skagit 20ft Express.

4 Skagits, 1 bass boat. Will figure out what to do with the Skimaster once I'm done with the hardtop 20.
