    What do you guys think of this boat:

    If I was fool enough to buy it I would want to repower with a Bearcat 55.

    If I remember correctly, Helmar thinks that the Bearcat is not enough power for this boat, while Steve Kiesel found it adequate.

    I'm assuming that the stringers and transom could be issues.

    Stringers should be fiberglass for that year, so no worries there. You should be able to pull the bilge plug and shine a flashlight in and examine.

    Transom is always a mystery! Bring an awl...

    The price is a little high from what I've seen on these over the years, but if it is in great condition, it could be worth it. Trailer looks pretty rough though.

    55 HP might be a bit weak, especially with the extra weight of the older 4 stroke. My friend has 90 on his and its too much, so maybe 65 is just right?

    Great sea keeping boat, those Sea Fairs...
