  • liquid-ation of classic boat farm

I have enjoyed bantering everything Bell Boy across the pond with my buddy Slo-mo. We've shared many communications regarding the logistics of importing his Banshee speedster to the UK. I was flummoxed to see him banned from the club, even more surprised when informed of the pending offer of his fleet of classics.

    The list:

1955 Bell Boy 16 Express, $250 in dry storage. Purchased from Marty and Helmar

    1959 Bell Boy Banshee 15, $100

1957 Skagit 17 Express, $150 in dry storage. Purchased from Chuck. Have new Wefcbo black rubrail $150 and NOS aluminm windows in pristine unused condition.

1958 Reinell Jetabout 14, $250. Purchased from Brian Franchini.

    1957 Glassmaster fin boat, free

Greg requests that he is contacted at : greg@revolutionclassics.com for elaboration on all aspects. These boats will be meeting their end as rubbish if not saved for restoration.

    Kindly,

    Rem

It is really surpising to see my last name on someone elses creds! Probably fairly common to have a Forsythe in the UK. Not so much on the US West Coast.

As for the boats, I'll throw my lot in for a free one if the donator doesn't mind me chopping the nose off. I am on the hunt for a classic boat headed for the bin that I can use for my man cave. I plan on using the upper bow deck of "something" as a folding table in my garage.

        Cutting up Classics

Now you see, I could not do that.
I cringe every time I go into a old 50's restaurant and find the back half of a REAL Classic cut up to make a place to set and eat. Reproduction, no problem.
Maybe that is why I have two of them now that is free to anyone who wants to restore them.
Marty and a few others I think had some that were ready for the sawsall. Classic 18 foot Bell Boy....He still might have it.

If I could get a repro...
I wouldn't do a rare boat for sure. Just something with that classic bow look.

The actual Love Boat from the TV series is being scrapped right now. You might be able to get the bow from that. It might be kind of spendy to have it shipped from Turkey though.

                Uh....Might be a tad big..:Scared2:

I will email Marty when he gets back (I think he and Mo are up on the Campbell River for a week or so) as Marty had a Bell Boy that was not a desirable cabin top but hull and front half is surely classic. He was trying to give it away but no takers.
Let me see if I can find the thread with the images.
                Yep, found it.
If he still has it, would this one work?
Its on the second page of the Classifieds under Free Project Boats.

Sorry, Helmar, been busy these last few weeks rying to find a new job. I'd consider the bell boy that marty has if he still has it, but only if it is truly destined for the bin. I'd rather not cut up one that someone in the club is interested in restoring.

I checked with Marty and he said its about time to get into the bunny suit with the 3M air system and saws all to make it into smaller pieced.
All you need to do is bring a trailer but contact him.

I don't think he is still willing to pay to have them leave but here is the link and a picture of the boat.
                      Its the Bell Boy..
