We have a long haul from down here West of Eugene and I plan on bringing my Van as so I can pull over and take a power nap. I used to hate naps but now, I find that even a 15 minute or so power nap really makes a difference. Its 5 hours up and another 5 back so this makes a very long day..
The boat is ready but not the van as of yet.

and you'll get the long distance award! holy smokes!

Getting super excited about the whole day and meeting new club members and seeing those that I've met already again. I just like talking boat, especially with others who speak boat.

        My to do list includes:
        -wash and buff boat
        -vacuum boat
-get the gas smell out of the boat because the dumb red plastic tanks don't vent like they're supposed to!
        -load the boat
        -wash truck
        -load the truck
-drink a beer and enjoy the fruits of my labor for the first time in a long time

I was going to bring my '65 VW Bus too but decided against it as I don't like to leave it alone for too long.

My boat needs cleaned and so does the van. Might boat is a runner. No time to polish the bronze or clean it. At least she steers and runs. Might bring some cleaner for the inside just to wipe the dirt off the dash

I hear ya...but just because I wash and buff it doesn't mean it looks any better..ha! It just means my scratches and battle scars are shiny!

I spent the evening, after work, building Lego construction equipment with Declan (by far the best way to unwind after a LONG day at work) then after he went to bed, at 10! I headed into the garage to do some hobby work...

                  1. Fix backup camera on truck - CHECK

                  2. Check water pump impeller on boat cause we've been experiencing unusually hot exhaust water on the port side - discovered the impeller shown on the left in pic 3 (new one shown on the right for comparison).

It's a good thing I have a spare for just about every mechanical part on this motor...

Michele and I are excited to see everyone!!

I'll take that as you picked up the cable and it's the correct one, good deal! Now at some point we have to do something with your lower unit before it gets destroyed. I do have the one off Tim's engine here that you could use if needed while resealing yours.

Five hr drive for you would mean 3hr for me................................................ ..

I guess we have to roll out the driveway and get on the road at 3:30am to make it on time.

Yes, my lower unit after one outing, turns Tan. I dump it and replace it every time I go out which is kind of a pain in the rump. That would be cool to get that fixed.....

Tags aren't that important... You'll be boating in a different state on what is like a private lake (not as open as say Tapps or Washington).

See you in a few long hours!!
