  • Getting Towed

This just came by us at Sisters' Point, Hood Canal. It was towed the other way yesterday. Anyone on or known to this forum? What kind of boat is it?

Don't know who it is, but the boat is a Johnson or Evinrude.

        Deluxe 17

Could be a OMC/Johnson or Evinrude Deluxe 17...my family used to own a 1965 in that blue color...they sold it in the 1990's some time in Portland, OR. There is a page for Gull Wing Fanatics if you google search ultimate OMC/Johnson you can find more info.

          More info

The give away that it's a Deluxe and not a sweet 16 is the nav light near the bow.

Johnson Deluxe Runabout. If I could see the numbers I might know who it is.

There are two sites that suport them -
            Gull-Wing.Net and OmcBoats.Org/forum

The first two photos are my '65 Johnson Runabout and '66 Johnson Seasport,
the third is my Evinrude Sweet 16...totally different hulls. The Johnsons are a three point - almost hydroplane - hull by Harry Hillman while the Evinrudes are a Gull Wing designed by Dick Cole.

I also like ultimate.com/omc-johnson it has a ton of good info, the gull-wing.net page was converted to that one.

Not the easiest way to pillage...

The dude may be on the hook, but he looks stylin; with the pirate flag...probably guaranteed that a few @%&#*AAAaaaarrgghhhh(s) were used during this outing.
