  • Upcoming swap meets

    All,

Ingvar Carlson has reserved booths at both the Des Moines swap meet this weekend the 26th, and the Fisheries Supply swap meet on April 2nd.

He has asked me to let everyone know that they are welcome to bring items to either or both meets that you want to sell, or let him know if you are looking for something in particular and he'll keep an eye out for you.

Ingvar will also be using these opportunities to promote the club, he'll have one of our banners up and has a stock of brochures to pass out to interested boaters. Anyone who would like to assist him in promoting the club is welcome to join him.

The Des Moines swap meet is Sat the 26th from 9 to 3, but if you have items to sell you should bring them down at about 8:00.

The Fisheries Supply swap meet is April 2nd from 5 to 2.

Ingvar has asked that if you are interested, please contact him by phone rather than posting here.

    Thanks,

    Tim

      John is right,
Get there early and bring the flashlight and warm coat.:Raining:
It usually takes a few passes to see it all and realize some stuff is hidden until items sell and reveal what`s behind.
Prices can defy logic but tactful offers are usually accepted.
The Des Moines crowd shrunk yet again this year like last......we seem to be running out of Marine stores closing and dumping stock into the marketplace.
I did score a bag of new 16 solid SS Transom loops.....cheap.
The swap meet sponsor,48` North do focus mainly on Sailboats so there will be half of the vendors offering mainly that.
The lower parking lot has a roll-up door they open to the public where old-stock and items in less-than -perfect condition are sold cheap.
One-step cleaner wax can be had for a $1 a shot or even as little as $10 /gallon.Watch close ,some items are cheap because of one little detail.
