    Lesson learned

While I guess you get what you pay for ---- I finally got the evinrude torn down except I could not get the power head separated from the exhaust shaft.
Every nut, bolt, seal and screw was so frozen on that even the KROIL could not penetrate! I don't think the ATF-Acetone mix would have worked.
I have in my time rebuilt automotive engines, transmissions, etc ---- I even rebuilt my 52 jeep 3 times and never have I ever experienced anything as tough as this. I was able to salvage a few ( and I mean few ) parts but nothing useful to sell or trade. The scrap dealer is going to be happy to get my call.
I do now have a 71' 50hp motor and parts manual that I have no need for --- anyone interested?

Oh and all rod bearings were frozen to the crank. I had to beat them off with a hammer.
It was some what fun destroying the engine knowing that I don't have to piece it back together.
