  • Rosario got her new transom wet!

Made plans for a trip to Pelican Beach on Cypress today. At 9:30 the report from the west side of Lummi was windy and foggy. Determined to take the boat out, we launched at 10 a.m. with about 10 mph wind from SE. Slowly traveled toward Carter Pt. on the south tip of Lummi Island. Got down to within a half mile and could see fog rolling over Lummi Mountain and wind had picked up to around 15 mph.
Made a Yewee and went into sheltered Inati (Deepwater) Bay. Sun was shining and we dropped the hook and had our picnic lunch onboard. Took a long nap with the sun making the cabin very comfortably warm and just enough wave action to rock you to sleep. Watched boaters come and go for awhile and then decided it was time to head home. A most wonderful day and certainly no flex in the new transom. Tomorrow the ferry goes out for maintenance for the rest of the month. That should give us lots of time to enjoy Rosario still this summer.
There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness.":shocked4:
