  • Three days of successful boating!

Took Rosario to Pelican Beach on Cypress Friday to try out her new transom. Everything held together and the weather was great. Saturday it was a trip to Clark Island with more good weather and boat still running just fine. Today was the real chance to mess up. Took Joy, the part Golden Retriever to Inati Bay just down Lummi Island a mile or so. Pulled the dinghy. First time we tried getting from boat to dinghy to shore with Joy, first and a second trip with Becky. My climbing in and out of boats had to have been a sight to see but we managed the whole thing to shore and back without capsizing or even getting wet (except Joy who managed to drop her hind legs in the water getting into the dinghy but, then, it was a given that she would get wet.) Pulled the boat out this evening and will give her a good clean up and then maybe launch again around Tuesday or Wednesday if the weather holds. Only burned 12 gallons of gas in three days of island hopping.
There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness.":shocked4:
