Went over to Jones Island Friday night and hung on the buoy most of Saturday.
Returned Saturday evening, arriving in Friday Harbor about six. There was a young guy waiting on the float when I was securing the boat. He asked, "Is this a Skagit Saratogan?" I said yes. He introduced himself as Ian Brown, age 14 from Bellingham. Said he is restoring a Bell Boy 16. Needs a motor, 70 to 90 HP.

I have his number and will call him and encourage him to join the club. Potentially our youngest active member!? How cool is this? Hope I have his age correct! Did he say 16? I'll check.

I'll give him all the encouragement I can and a ride in the Saratogan. He asked "will the Saratogan plane?" I assured him it will.
