    hi all. new to the forum. been lookin for a classic. found this one on craigslist but haven't been to see it. wanted to get a take on it from all of you.

    I'm no expert in Dorsetts, but I'm pretty sure that upper windshield doesn't belong there...

      I would past on that. The trailer is worthless, see that window in the cabin? That's about a $150-$200 for the plexiglass. And yes the windshield is not the correct one.Dorsett are famous for bad transom's and floors, bulkheads if not taken care of. I would not trust that trailer also , so you would need to find a good used one to get it home. I have had some Dorsett's and they are fine boats ,but i would past again on this. He should pay you. I have had better free boats. Sorry, i hope i have not been to rough on you. If you want a classic look within the club and yes and it is not a 20' it's a 17'.

        thanks guys. I know that windshield is not right. it also didn't look like a 20 either. don't want to drive to the portland area for a wreck either and not for $1500.
