It makes me wonder if they were ever on the water together before. Did Skagit possess them all at the same time or did they make one and deliver it before finishing the next?
Hulls one and two are in a brochure together. Far as I've been able to determine, all three hulls were laid up in 1957. Hull one completed in early 1957, hull two in mid-1957 and hull three completed in Spring of 1958.

Ok Tim, here is a real crazy idea:

Take your boat to the boat show, and sell rich boat freaks on the idea, of having you restore the 2 hulls, at twice your normal fee, for them? Then after.....with the extra cash, you start up Tim's retro boats inc? Remember all of the attention Ida's boat got at the boat show?
      Steve,
I haven't been a member of NMTA for many years. The space you are allotted at the show depends on how many shows you've been in before. Not a bad idea, but due to the policies, not going to happen. The La Conner show a good option. Put hull 2 on a trailer and take it to La Conner along with hull 3 to show what a finished boat looks like.....

Hey Tim, Marty is right, you need to find a boat freak with lots of cash,
        who also loves washington history?

        Time to call Paul Allen?

I was thinking of calling the Dunlaps.
For those of you who aren't familiar with the Dunlaps, Gene Dunlap founded Dunlap Towing (a tug and barge company) in 1925 in La Conner. He also invested in fiberglass boat building, was the owner of Skagit Plastics, Inc. Seems to me fitting that Dunlap own one of the Saratogans....
          Will see........

            Good idea Tim.

There are a bunch of big empty buildings here in La Conner,
            since pacific mariner closed down.....SP

Here's a factory picture of Saratogan hull 1 in Swinomish Chanel. You have to imagine this in red and white.

Don't have any color photos of Saratogan hull #1. I colorized this B&W photo. Not good quality, a quicky, but you get the idea. This boat a real eye-popper....
I suppose I should change my screen name to McSaratogan!

Tim, looks like you should talk to Mike Pingatore. Sounds like he is very interested in seeing the old girl restored. At least he said he was not joking.
