This is not really boat related but if you are referring to a tunnel Hull boat, then Yes it is :D
Works for me.

Actually, for me, that light was just another darn train coming at me several years ago.

Lets see if the "Not Boat related" edit cops get this :p

If so, I will create a "Not Boat Related" area :D

I have several boats that I need to spend money on. The economy is not helping. Ive taken a 70% hit on my income and untill it gets better will have to stick to the low cost improvements. As I was reading the Light I was wondering if it was a hint that the saratogan was to be put on the back burner and not be launched this year. John

John, So far my business is holding up , but some days i don't get any orders and think it's the end of the world ! Boating helps or just even working on them does as well. Chuck

Those of us that are of a more refined vintage, ( read ChuckC, ChuckB) will remember a sign as one was leaving the Seattle city limits; " Will the Last One Out of Seattle, Please Turn Out The Lights". Now to make it boat related, we could say will the last one off the the ramp... But we lived through that one, we'll live through this one. That's why I go boating, to forget about life for awhile. I agree with Tim. Can't we keep this forum all related to boats ?
On other forums, when they get off focus, they tend to degenerate. :(

Just my 2cents worth.

For me, the light at the end of the tunnel is blocked by all those project boats that have the tunnel jam-packed-full.

But I agree with others--let's not "go there" in terms of meandering into non-boat-related stuff, even if it's funny.

Well, I'm not trying to stir up any unrest on this new website, however whether a post is boat related or not is subjective and in the eye of the poster and the reader.

Yes, we should keep on track and steer toward boat related subjects. At this point however, the moderator shouldn't be editing anything that isn't obsene, slanderous or way off subject.

For me "the light at the end of the tunnel" is a phrase oft used by me to describe a project that has spanned 20 years. Just when there was light at the end of the tunnel, the economy goes down the tubes. Right now I'm trying to keep the project going and launch on time by selling everything I own. Sold my GTO today (that I bought new and have had since I was 20).

Maybe we should steer away from any subject that reminds us of reality? Editing posts was the reason I was unable to embrace the other website.

What this website needs is a space on each member page where the member can talk about what brought him or her to classic boats, brought them to this website....let them toot their horn to the degree they see fit.

My post "The Light" just a little joke......funny...you know???? It's called humor.....

Bummer on selling the car.
I have done that with some of my cars and boats to finance others.

I like the idea of the bio but its not part of this program. But I will look to see if I can find any attachment programs.
I was looking for a better Gallery program too.

Might be best to just let this thread die off and go to the end of the list.:o

I have been employment challenged for a better part of a year now. I am glad to have my boat as a reprieve from worrying about my situation. Fortunately I am at the less cost and more time boat enhancements.

Right now it is the slip rent that is my largest expense.

Here are a few interior pics, including dinette top.

Lost many pictures on crashed laptop, so no on the water pics.

I have more, let me know if you want to see them.

Hi Robert.
Those look sweet.
I remember being in the cabin of your boat and how roomy it was.

By the way, can you go back to your User CP, edit that and add your name to the Signature please.
Some of us know you but I would bet most don't.

I am in hopes some day of being able to take our Skagit 20 from Portland down to Astoria and back just plunking around.
You can sure bet I will let you know when that is happening...:)

Flotsam & Jetsam,

Suggesting , requesting a new catagory. Posts that don't fit elsewhere.

I've been around the classic boats from when they weren't classics, but everyday boats.

A year or two back I spent several hours going through the photo archives at Northwest Marine Trade Association. NMTA hosts the Seattle Boat SHow.

The pics were pretty well picked through, but I did find a few worth the research.

One pic is what I would call funny (realize humor is subjective)and I would like to post it on the main forum. However, based on the reaction I got from "The Light", I'll hold off posting it or perhaps bury it in my photo album.

New catagory please! FLOTSAM & JETSAM

Thanks

Tim :p

Tim -

Great idea! Maybe Joe and Carol can set that up in coming days...and give everybody a place for misc. stuff.

Nobody wants to be policed, or do policing, on this forum...(and we all need a sense of humor, for sure)...so it'll be good to have a spot where we can deal with non-boat-related subjects.

Incidentally, Joe and I were talking about this very subject yesterday, and we hope that everyone generally understands that when we say Main Forum posts should be "boat related," they can also be "club related" and/or "club-member related." In other words, when flooding hit the Puget Sound area and a bunch of members went on the forum to wonder if Mike and Judy were okay, that was absolutely great...and appropriate for this message board.

Probably the main things we all need to avoid are profanity and trashing of one another, but neither of those things should become issues in this group....right?
