What is the color code and brand of paint or Gel coat for the green on the Saratoga. I believe it is the color I need for the hardtop on my 16 ft Skagit Skimaster. Clint

          Saratogan...

          Tim -

I know you're more eager than anyone to see the boat in the water, but the rest of us want to be there for the launch or first official public debut...so please let everyone know as the date approaches. We'll want to have the 'real' launch party this year, and get lots of photos to share with those who can't make it.

          The boat's looking spectacular!

The paint is Awlcraft, a less expensive two part urethane version of Awlgrip by US Paint. I'll get the formula and post it here.

I cut out a disc from the boat that I thought best represented the original gel coat color. Sent that to Fisheries and they in turn sent it to Utah to be scanned. The folks in Utah sent the formula to Fisheries and they mixed it.

I still probably have a half gallon of the paint left. I don't know what the shelf life is, but might be up to sell a quart or so?

Expensive paint! The cream two part urethane by International, black by International, and the teal by US paint came to $1200 not including thinners or primer.

I would like to buy a quart if possible. Please tell me price and hopefully it could be shipped, since the ferries are so expensive. I am in LaConner. Clint e-mail cstrobe7@msn.com
