Tim Mattson just called (4:45 pm) to say he made it all the way from Lake Sammamish to Coulon Park in Renton...and he may have been the only one to go the entire distance--so congrats, Tim.
Don't know how others did, since I was DNS at the Lake Sammamish ramp. (Seems like it was a bad fuel pump--engine would run for a few seconds, after pumping, then die.)
Have I ever mentioned that I HATE OUTBOARD MOTORS?!!
Nice to see everyone, briefly.

so I converted it back to a single seater. I had alot of fun in my little aluminum boat. The willows were a challenge and I got stuck once on a branch and had to scramble to get loose. Moving to the nose of the boat and using a paddle seemed to work somewhat for steering. The 3 of us had some GREAT runs down the "river". I was right behind Tim when he decided to turn left, which turned him right and up the bank into the brush!
was laying for us under a bridge just up from Bothell. He was pretty cool, although I don't think Tim agrees!
Pretty mellow driving the rest of the way after our run in with the law.
Brian and I both pulled out at Kenmore. I had planned on going the whole way, but with the strong winds and the truck/trailer/wife logistics, I called it a day. Another special thanks to Greg (Slo-Mo) for piloting my truck from Sammamish to Kenmore, Thanks Bud! Congratulations to Tim and his copilot for surviving the day (3 times on the bank!), the law and the water conditions, all with backwards steering!!
Here's some pictures!
