  • Kite Cam

    A couple of years ago I came across this interesting youtube video by a young sailor (Chris Humann) who built a kite framework to support his digital camera. During an email exchange, he explained that the frame suspended beneath the Rogallo wing is designed to keep the camera centered on the tethering string. Interesting stuff! He claimed to have never dunked his camera! The boat he's sailing is a Dana 24 off the SoCal coast.

    He edited the video to include a soundtrack by Enya called "Orinoco Flow".

    Simply ingenious!, love the perspective that the contraption allows.

    Way more convenient and fuel efficient than having your helicopter following everywhere. Gotta try to rig the GoPro cam to do this! :TakePicture1:
