Hi, my name is Paul and I am the proud new owner of Clarice, a 1957 17 foot Finecraft cabin cruiser. I believe the builder was Auldubay Boats in Alderwood Manor, WA. My limited research tells me the hull is made from Weldwood marine plywood and it appears that they “fiberglassed” it. The upper structure is teak and teak plywood. It appears to be in good shape with some limited rotting close to obvious leaks. The chines also show some limited seepage. The power is provided by a 1979 Mercury Thunderbolt 50HP 2 stroke 4 cylinder outboard that is also in good shape. It is a project boat and am in the process refinishing the inside hull and removing the fuel tanks. As I’m new to this kind of boat having owned an all fiberglass boat before, I would very much welcome any information members may have. There is very limited information on the Internet. Thank you.

    Hi Paul.
    Nice boat for sure !!!
Have you checked out Fiberglassics.com as we sent most of everything built in the Northwest back to them.
Marty Loken at https://www.pocketyachters.com/ Might be able to help with some information as well. He used to be on this site but has it own now and back to wooden boats..
