I just took down my model train table. Before i take it to the dump , i thought i would offer the 4x8 3/4 " sheets ( about 4 ) to anyone that would like to use it for making a shop workbench ( or whatever ) when working on a boat. "O" yea.... it's free ! Just come and get it by Mill Creek. Chuck 1-800-637-9190 or mvchippewa@verizon.net

Chuck, that sounds like it was an impressive sized layout; was it Lionel?Originally posted by chuckcarey, post: 700I just took down my model train table. Why are you clearing the layout, most rr'ers just buy bigger homes.Robert Augur

Robert, I kind of lost interest. I still have a 4 x 12 table. I did keep 3 passenger trains plus 4 freight sets . One of the freight set is the lionel train ( 59 YEARS OLD) i had when i was 7 ) and 32 freight cars. That's what i have left. They are Lionel and MTH. Three years ago i had 33 engines, 13 passenger sets and right at 300 freight cars. i could run four trains at once. I went crazy ! Worst than boats. They did not take up a lot of room like boats. My dad is big LionelMTH train guy. He still has all the trains from his childhood, and another 60 yrs of collecting. It looks like you had a nice layout.
I have one set: It is the 1936 Union Pacific City of Denver. I like the Pre-war diesels.Robert Augur
